Abdirahman Mohamed Heeban
Executive Director of AID
Abdirahman Mohamed Heeban is the Executive Director of Aid for Integrated Development (AID), bringing 18 years of experience in the humanitarian and development sector. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and provides strategic leadership and overall organizational direction, guiding AID’s humanitarian and development programmes, partnerships, institutional growth, and organizational performance. He is committed to strengthening organizational effectiveness, promoting accountability, and ensuring the delivery of impactful, inclusive, and sustainable solutions for vulnerable and crisis-affected communities across Ethiopia.
Abdimahad Mohamed Abdi
Deputy Executive Director of AID
Abdimahad Mohamed Abdi is a humanitarian and development leader with 18 years of professional experience, including 7 years in senior and executive leadership positions. He holds an MSc in Pastoral Economics and Development, a BA in Management, and a BA in Leadership and Education Planning. He provides strategic leadership and oversight of AID’s programmes, organizational development, partnerships, compliance, risk management, and institutional strengthening, supporting effective, accountable, and sustainable humanitarian and development programming across Ethiopia.
Abdinasir Moalin Abdullahi
Program Manager
Abdinasir Moalin Abdullahi is the Programme Manager at Aid for Integrated Development (AID), with experience in humanitarian and development programming, organizational leadership, and community resilience across Ethiopia’s Somali Region. He holds an MSc in Water Science and Technology from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), India, and a BSc in Natural Resource Management from Jigjiga University. Previously serving as Acting Executive Director and Operations Manager at AID, he brings expertise in programme planning and implementation, grants and compliance management, donor coordination, MEAL, proposal development, and multi-sectoral interventions, including WASH, livelihoods, food security, early recovery, and protection. He is committed to programme quality, accountability, and sustainable, community-responsive results.
Bashir Abdi Hashi
Operation and Finance Manager
Bashir Abdi Hashi brings 7 years of related experience across humanitarian and development operations, administration, logistics, fleet management, and programme support. At Aid for Integrated Development (AID), he contributes to operational efficiency, administrative coordination, resource management, compliance, and effective programme delivery. His broader experience includes finance, protection, education, and humanitarian coordination, supporting accountable and effective organizational operations.
Mumtaz Nur Abdi
HR and Safeguarding Officer
Mumtaz Nur Abdi serves as the Human Resources and Safeguarding Officer at Aid for Integrated Development (AID), bringing four years of professional experience in human resources, administration, and organizational support. She holds a degree in Public Administration and supports staff management, recruitment and onboarding, personnel documentation, administrative coordination, and implementation of organizational policies and procedures. She also contributes to safeguarding, staff awareness, and the promotion of a safe, respectful, and accountable working environment in line with AID’s commitment to protecting staff, programme participants, and the communities it serves.

Aragaw Biru is a Program Specialist at Aid for Integrated Development (AID), bringing over 30 years of experience in humanitarian assistance, development programming, education, and organizational leadership. He provides technical and programmatic support across WASH, protection, food security and livelihoods, health and nutrition, and education. His expertise includes strategic planning, project oversight, partnership coordination, donor reporting, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL), and organizational capacity strengthening.
