AID was established on the belief that sustainable change happens when emergency humanitarian response and long-term development interventions are linked together. Our work is guided by the Humanitarian, Development and Peace (HDP) Nexus, recognizing that communities affected by crisis need not only immediate assistance, but also sustainable systems, resilience, and opportunities for recovery and peace.
Integrated Solutions
We use a multi-sectoral approach that integrates WASH, Health and Nutrition, Education, Livelihoods, Protection, Governance, and Capacity Building rather than treating problems separately.
We believe poverty and vulnerability are interconnected, and therefore solutions must also be interconnected. By addressing multiple needs at the same time, communities recover faster, resilience is strengthened, resources are optimized, coordination improves, and long-term development becomes more sustainable.
